Who am I?

My name is Janet Wagner and I am a highly driven, passionate Web Developer / Designer that builds websites using the latest web technologies and standards.

My current skillset is from a combination of traditional education and self teaching through books and tutorial blogs.

My Background

In April 2004, I became a full time professional Web Developer / Programmer in charge of developing and maintaining a number of websites for a large manufacturing company in Northwest Ohio.

I designed, built and maintained four of the company's six websites. The sites were built using a variety of programming languages including hand coded HTML, XHTML and CSS.

In March 2006, I became a self-employed Web Developer / Programmer while continuing to develop and maintain the manufacturing company's websites on a contract basis.

The fifth website that I designed, built and maintained for the manufacturing company, was an ecommerce website built with a heavily modified osCommerce shopping cart.

From November 2007 to February 2009, I was the Lead Web Developer / Programmer (contract basis) for BEK Designs. Web development and programming was my primary function for the company.

The work included converting graphic web design PSD files to semantic and valid web pages using a variety of programming languages including hand coded XHTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript/jQuery.

Additionally, I developed and built websites using the popular Open Source Platforms CMS Made Simple and WordPress. Also built a few ecommerce websites using Magento as the shopping cart platform.

Current

For the past few years, I've been focusing on my career as a Self-Employed Web Developer / Designer.

I'm also the Lead Web Developer at 3-Fusion Web Services which is in development.
