About Me

Janet Wagner - Data Journalist - Full Stack Developer - API Enthusiast

My name is Janet Wagner and I'm a highly driven data journalist, full stack developer, and API enthusiast based in Toledo, Ohio.

I started my career as a front end developer for a large group of manufacturing companies in Northwest Ohio, later becoming a self-employed full stack developer.

I have extensive experience in building custom websites using a variety of markup and scripting languages including hand coded HTML5, XHTML, CSS/CSS3, PHP & JavaScript. I've also built CMS driven websites using platforms such as WordPress, CMS Made Simple, and Magento.

I'm currently a regular contributor to ProgrammableWeb, the leading news source, directory and reference guide for APIs and the web as a platform.

I write articles about APIs and API related topics such as open data, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, graph technology, cognitive computing, data visualization, advanced analytics, and social media.

These days my focus revolves around APIs, open data, data visualization, machine learning, and data-driven journalism.

You can contact me using the email form on my Contact Page or by sending me a message via Twitter. Please note that I'm not accepting any freelance web development projects at this time.
